This person will actively participate in our fund, including sourcing deals, doing deep diligence, and helping to manage the portfolio. Most of your time will be spent sourcing and analyzing new investment opportunities, diligencing new markets, and networking with your peers. Key Responsibilities
Help develop Core’s investment thesis through research on market trends, sectors, and investment prospects
Strengthen and expand Core’s brand by building relationships with industry insiders, founders, and other investors at conferences and events
Support investment decisions by conducting due diligence, incorporating competitive and financial analyses, and management team evaluations
Help incorporate AI into all of our investment decision processes
Communicate investment recommendations through investment memorandums and returns analyses
Evaluate incoming investment opportunities by conducting research and meeting with founders
Ideal Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in venture capital or at a venture-backed startup, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked at a venture fund and/or held a technical role within a startup
Demonstrated ability to build and leverage a strong network for sourcing deals. This requires meaningful founder and investor relationships
Organize and host events that engage high-quality builders, from small curated gatherings to larger meetups
Be the bridge between builders and Core, making us their first call when starting a company
Proven self-starter, highly-motivated personality, able to succeed in an unstructured environment
Ability to utilize AI technology to innovate on internal workflows
Strong analytical and strategic thinker, able to distill complex information into clear, actionable insights
Excellent communicator with the ability to write, speak, and present with clarity and impact
Detail-oriented with a high bar for quality and precision in all work
